I am a 23 year old writer and editor living in Santa Cruz, California. I grew up in Waterford and Galt, California, going back and forth between my parents. I majored in literature at UCSC, and concentrated in poetry and fiction. I have recently self published a collection of poetry, Baby’s First Cry, and an excerpt of my novel, Living Lush. They are both limited print editions.

My poetry has also been published in issues 10 and 11 of Matchbox Magazine. In middle school, I placed in the Literary Conference two years in a row. In high school, I placed third in the Aileen Jaffa Young Poets contest. Just recently, as a senior at UCSC, I won the George Hitchcock Memorial Poetry Contest. As a result, I will be published in Catamaran literary magazine.

This year, I will participate in National Novel Writing Month. My goal is to finish the first draft of my novel Living Lush. I will post updates on my progress to my blog, as well as a day-by-day breakdown of my word count on my NaNoWriMo profile.
